National Nurses Week

Nurses Week is celebrated nationwide from May 6th to May 12th in honor of the birthdate of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. During this week, we recognize the hard work and dedication of nurses in the Houlton community and beyond. Nurses work hard to ensure the health of their patients and deserve to feel the same care and appreciation every day, but especially this week!

Nurses are the backbone of modern healthcare, playing a pivotal role in patient care and recovery. Beyond administering medication and monitoring vital signs, they offer compassion, empathy, and emotional support, fostering a healing environment. Nurses serve as advocates for patients, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs met. Their expertise bridges gaps between doctors and patients, facilitating communication and understanding. In an ever-evolving healthcare landscape, nurses adapt, innovate, and lead initiatives for better patient outcomes. Their tireless dedication and clinical acumen make them indispensable, embodying the essence of holistic care and enhancing the quality of life for countless individuals.
