At HRH, our Laboratory plays a vital role in supporting not only patients but also visitors and every department across the hospital. Our lab offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic services including:

Blood Bank
Serology
Hematology
Coagulation
Blood Gas Analysis
Chemistry & Special Chemistry
Urinalysis
Urine Toxicology Screening
Molecular Testing
Microbiology

Each area is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, ensuring precision and reliability. Our commitment to excellence was recently highlighted during our CLIA inspection—earning praise as “one of the state’s top labs” and receiving zero deficiencies. This recognition speaks volumes about the dedication and skill of our lab team.

We’re also proud to be a teaching and training facility, welcoming students from the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s MLT program during the spring semester as they gain real-world experience in a supportive, high-standard environment.

The HRH Laboratory operates 24/7/365 to serve inpatients and emergency cases. Outpatient services are available:

Monday–Friday: 6:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Our outpatient lab is staffed by highly trained, multi-skilled phlebotomist/secretaries who are ready to welcome you with care and efficiency.
