Pulmonary Function Testing
The purpose of pulmonary function testing is to assess how well your lungs are functioning. PFTs can help identify lung conditions by measuring how well air moves in and out of the lungs. They are used to track the progression of diseases like asthma and COPD and how well the treatments are working.
Sleep Testing
Sleep studies are offered through a partnership with Northern Light AR Gould Hospital which is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The purpose of sleep testing is to diagnose sleep apnea, which is a common disorder that can lead to serious health issues if left untreated.
Overnight Oximetry Testing
Oximetry testing is used to measure and record your oxygen levels while you sleep. This test helps providers diagnose sleep- related breathing issues and can be used to qualify the patient for home oxygen. A small sensor is placed on your finger when you go to sleep.
Exercise Oximetry Testing
The exercise oximetry test is a noninvasive test that measures your oxygen level as you walk by placing a small probe on your finger. The test is helpful to show how well your lungs function, determine your heart rate during exercise and can help determine if oxygen therapy is needed.
