Dietary (Meals)

Dietary Services provide patient meals, manage cafeteria operations, and coordinate catering throughout the hospital and the Community Center for Health Education.

Patient menus are distributed each evening at suppertime. If you are on a regular diet, a lighter fare menu is also available upon request. Each day, a member of the Dietary staff will call or visit your room to review your meal selections and ensure your order is accurate and consistent with your dietary needs and preferences.

If you have any questions or concerns about your meals, please inform the Dietary staff — they will be happy to assist you.

If your doctor has prescribed a special diet, it will be indicated at the bottom of your menu. You may also use this section to write any special requests. Please note that your doctor may schedule tests that could require temporary changes to, or omission of, your meals.

If family or friends wish to bring in outside food, please check with the nursing or dietary staff beforehand. Certain foods may not be appropriate if you are on a special or restricted diet, as they could interfere with your treatment plan.

The cafeteria is open seven days a week for staff and hospital patrons.
