Tory Rouse is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Houlton Regional Hospital with over two decades of experience in patient care. She began her healthcare career at the hospital 23 years ago as a Certified Nursing Assistant, steadily advancing through the ranks with dedication and compassion. For the past nine years, she has specialized in wound care, building deep clinical expertise and a strong rapport with patients.
In 2021, she earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Spring Arbor University. Now stepping into a primary care role, she is passionate about treating the whole person and providing comprehensive, patient centered care to individuals and families throughout
the community she has long served.
Tory's research interests center on primary care along with wound care, with a focus on prevention and patient education. She is passionate about helping patients understand how to manage their health, prevent complications, and take an active role in their healing. Tory is especially interested in exploring new ways to improve chronic wound outcomes and how primary care can support long-term wellness by addressing the conditions that affect healing, such as diabetes and vascular disease.
