Originally from Canada, Dr. Ouaknine became interested in medicine after taking his 9th-grade biology course. He likes being part of the healing process and was attracted to the urology field because of the possibility of helping patients both surgically and medically. He loves being able to contribute to his patients' overall improvement. Dr. Ouaknine believes giving his patients the time to express themselves and ensuring they are understood are most important for quality care. He is a detail-orientated and thorough multidisciplinary physician. Dr. Ouaknine is interested in disease prevention and uro-oncology.
Dr. Ouaknine specializes in urology and provides expert care for a wide range of conditions. He treats concerns such as prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer; blood in the urine (hematuria); kidney stones; urinary incontinence; and enlarged prostate (BPH). He also helps patients manage conditions like erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, male infertility, Peyronie's disease, premature ejaculation, prostatitis, varicoceles, cystoceles, and interstitial cystitis. In addition to medical treatments, Dr. Ouaknine offers advanced procedures including circumcision, non- invasive shockwave therapy (ESWL) for kidney stones, and the UroLift procedure for BPH. His goal is to provide compassionate, personalized care and improve each patient's quality of life.
